ASAAN Africa is Kenya's premier agribusiness membership network, connecting farmers, traders, investors, and agribusiness professionals. We provide a marketplace, community forum, market intelligence, events, and business resources — all in one platform designed specifically for African agribusiness.

Click the "Join" button on our homepage and complete the registration form. Basic membership is free. For Professional (KSh 2,500/year) or Enterprise (KSh 8,000/year) tiers, you'll be guided through a secure M-Pesa payment.

We offer three tiers: Basic (Free) — access to forums, job board, and community feed. Professional (KSh 2,500/year) — adds marketplace seller access, full member directory, and market intelligence reports. Enterprise (KSh 8,000/year) — adds priority listing placement, bulk campaign tools, dedicated support, and API access.

Yes, you can upgrade at any time from your member dashboard under "Membership". You'll only pay the difference for the remaining period of your subscription.

Absolutely. We use industry-standard SSL encryption, never sell your data, and comply with Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019. Your phone number and email are only visible to members you connect with directly.

Professional and Enterprise members can list products by going to Dashboard → Marketplace → Add Product. Fill in product details, upload photos, set your price per unit and minimum order quantity, then submit for review. Listings are typically approved within 24 hours.

Any agricultural product or agribusiness service. This includes: fresh produce, grains, dairy, livestock, processed foods, agro-inputs (seeds, fertilisers, pesticides), farm equipment, and agribusiness services (consulting, transport, storage, processing).

Buyers pay via M-Pesa or card through our secure checkout. Funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt of goods, then released to your M-Pesa or bank account within 48 hours.

We charge a 3% transaction fee on completed sales (Professional members) or 2% (Enterprise members). Basic members cannot sell. There are no listing fees.

From your dashboard, go to Marketplace → Payouts. You can withdraw your balance to M-Pesa at any time. Minimum withdrawal is KSh 500. Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours on business days.

Go to the Events page, select the event, and click "Register". Free events require only a name and email. Paid events use M-Pesa for ticket purchase. You'll receive a QR-code ticket via email and SMS.

Yes. Virtual events are accessible globally via our embedded Jitsi video platform. You'll receive the meeting link in your ticket confirmation. No download required — runs in any browser.

Yes. Completing a course on ASAAN Learning earns a digitally-signed PDF certificate with a unique QR verification code. These are recognised by several partner institutions and government agencies.

Absolutely. Send your topic suggestion to hello@asaan.africa or post it in the Forums under "Platform Suggestions". Popular topics get scheduled within 2-3 months.

All registered members (including free Basic tier) can read and post in the forums. This is one of our most valued free features — we believe knowledge sharing benefits the whole community.

Yes! Many of our forums accept both English and Swahili posts. We are working on full bilingual support with automatic translation by end of 2025.

Click the three-dot menu on any post or reply and select "Report". Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours. Severe violations result in immediate suspension.

Professional and Enterprise members can create private or county-specific groups. Go to Community → Groups → Create Group. Groups can be public (anyone can join) or private (invite only).

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email or phone number, and we'll send a reset link via email and an OTP via SMS. You can set a new password immediately.

Go to Dashboard → Profile → Contact Details. Changing your phone requires SMS verification of the new number. Email changes require clicking a confirmation link sent to the new address.

Our website is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — you can install it on your phone (iOS and Android) by visiting asaan.africa in your browser and selecting "Add to Home Screen". It works offline for browsing saved content.

Yes. We optimise all pages for low-bandwidth connections. Additionally, you can access basic platform features (membership status, market prices, registration) via USSD by dialling *384*ASAAN# — works on any phone, even 2G feature phones.

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This is irreversible and removes all your data within 30 days per Kenya's Data Protection Act. Active sellers must clear pending orders first.
